The good thing is that Wardo drops the subject. It's the sort of thing that, years ago, Mark would have expected, Mark would have been frustrated with if he'd not received, that understanding and distance. In retrospect, there are some topics and certain occasions where it might have been better, had Eduardo intervened on some level, but this, Mark strongly feels, isn't one of those times. Because at the end of the day, Erica presents a problem that he's not sure how to tackle, and the tone of Eduardo's voice suggests that he isn't sure about it, either, and in that case, the best thing he can hope for is time to stew and time to consider his options. The greatest drawback here is that no matter what he decides to do, any level of involvement with Erica is going to quite face-to-face interaction.
